Cemac Construction is proud to present Karewa Medical, a groundbreaking medical precinct that shatters records and sets a new standard for excellence. This extensive project involved the construction of a medical centre with MRI rooms, a childcare centre, and six additional tenancies, all meticulously crafted to meet rigorous medical-grade standards.

A foundation of strength: Setting a concrete record
Karewa Medical boasts a record-breaking feat for the largest concrete pour into a foundation in a single day. This noteworthy achievement of 360 cubic meters eliminated cold joints, significantly reducing the risk of cracking and ensuring long-term structural integrity. The project required the constant operation of two concrete pumps and four trucks, showcasing Cemac Construction's ability to manage large-scale logistics with precision.

Building on a grand scale: A multifaceted medical hub
The sheer scale of Karewa Medical is truly impressive. The project encompasses two distinct buildings – a sprawling 1400 square meter, two-storey structure on one side, and a complementary 700 square meter, two-storey building on the other. The medical centre, equipped with state-of-the-art MRI rooms, serves as the cornerstone of this healthcare hub.

Adaptability in the face of change
The Karewa Medical project demanded constant monitoring and the ability to adapt to unexpected challenges. Our team tackled unforeseen design changes head-on, including a significant alteration to the finished floor level. Cemac Construction rose to the challenge by constructing custom tilt panels to lay horizontally on the foundations, effectively raising the floor level by 200mm. This solution exemplifies our commitment to problem-solving and unwavering dedication to project completion.
